Biography
Alfredo Mercurio is a Zurich-based Swiss contemporary Artist. His background comes from a highly technological world. As a project manager for more than 25 years he is used to planning projects to the last detail and achieving predefined goals. As an artist he can approach a topic without having to reach a defined goal. It is a journey with an unknown destination. What began as a means of relaxation became a fascinating artistic activity when he discovered his talent for bringing independent images together to something new.
Statement
Triggering a process without having to know the result is exiting and relaxing at the same time. Each artwork is a little Adventure, inspired by existing imagery, own ideas and thoughts to create something new. The result should inspire the viewer’s imagination and guide him in unconventional ways.

Photographs from Eliott Erwitt, vintage from the 50’s to the 90‘s, Technicolor movies, Contemporary Art, Dada, Pop Art, Warhol, Lichtenstein, James Rosenquist, Pop & Fashion, situations he’s daily surrounded with friends and family.
